RESORTPORT is a destination archive that records the mountains, seas, lakes, islands, highlands, gorges, waterfalls, hot spring towns and other landscapes of Japan through photographs and verified information. It is neither a booking site nor a coupon site. Our aim is to be a place where you first encounter a landscape that makes you think, "I want to go there."

Editorial policy

• Factual information such as names, locations, elevations and protected areas is published only when it can be confirmed in sources such as the Ministry of the Environment, UNESCO, local governments, Wikipedia and Wikidata.
• Figures and information that cannot be confirmed are not published. We do not fill gaps with guesswork.
• The sources consulted and the photo credits are stated at the end of each destination page.
• Access, opening seasons and similar details may change. Always check the latest official information before you go.
