The Story of
Kusatsu Onsen
In the middle of town, hot spring water flows, sending up clouds of steam. The Yubatake is a facility that runs source water through wooden channels to lower its temperature and collect yunohana mineral deposits.
At night the Yubatake is lit up, and the steam floats in the light. Stroll around the Yubatake in a yukata and go from one public bath to the next — nights in Kusatsu pass with the hot springs.
