Miyakojima City, Okinawa Prefecture. Known for the white sand of Yonaha Maehama Beach and clear seas over coral reefs. The Irabu Bridge, opened in 2015, links Miyako Island and Irabu Island.

The Story of
Miyakojima
Miyako Island has no mountains high enough to be called mountains, and no large rivers. As a result, little sediment flows into the sea, and the water is said to be exceptionally clear.
Yonaha Maehama is a long beach of fine white sand. From the shore out to sea, the water shifts from pale aqua to deep blue.
Crossing the Irabu Bridge feels like driving over the sea that spreads to either side.
